From October 18 to 20, the Ninth International Contest of innovAtioN (iCAN), China final was held in Beijing. Student teams from SDU ranked No.1 among all participating universities nationwide in terms of the total awards received, including 4 first prizes, 15 second prizes, 4 special awards for enterprise innovation and 1 award for excellent paper.
A total of 460 teams from over 100 universities including Beijing University, Xia Men University and Shanghai Jiaotong University, etc., competed in the contest, which set 39 national grand prizes and first prizes in total.
Jointly hosted by the Computer Instruction Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education and Chinese International NEMS Society(CINS), iCAN is a nationwide annual innovation contest in the field of Internet of Things, and also serves as the regional qualification trial in China for iCAN international final. The Projects of the contest cover many fields relating to intelligent technologies, such as intelligent entertainments and sports, medical and health care, life and decoration, transport and energy, monitoring and management, home and equipment, services and facilities, etc. All the projects have physical products displayed.
