The main topic of this talk is conformal metrics with conic singularities on Riemann surface. Unlike classical uniformization theorem, surfaces with conic singularities do not always carry metrics with constant curvature. Hence on such conic surfaces, one looks for alternatives of constant curvature metrics. We determine the metrics which are least-pinched. This is a joint work with Hao Fang.
Mijia Lai got his Ph.D. from University of IOWA, USA in 2011. He was a visiting assistant professor in University of Rochester from 2011 to 2014. He is currently a special researcher at Department of Mathematics, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His main research interests include Geometric analysis and Regularity theory of elliptic PDEs.
