SDU Researchers Suggest a new Electrochemical Mechanism for the Origin of Mysterious Ultraviolet Absorption Stripes in Venusian Atmosphere
Recently, the Planetary Science Team of Shandong University revealed that gas discharge in the cloud layers of Venus is an important mechanism producing the high concentration of polysulfur and sulfur-oxides, which could be the precursors leading to the formation of the strips with the famous unknown Ultraviolet (UV) absorber in the atmosphere.

SDU Secures Fourth Lunar Sample Grant
The China National Space Administration (CNSA) approved the distribution of its ninth batch of lunar research samples in July, awarding grants to 25 scientific institutions nationwide, with a total of 67 applications approved.
