Chang Ho-sung, President of Dankook University, led a delegation to visit Shandong University in September. Zhang Yongbing, Deputy Secretary of CPC Shandong University Committee, met with the delegation.

During the meeting, Zhang introduced the history of SDU as well as the school characteristics, discipline layout, its development strategy and the general condition and development goal of the Qingdao Campus and Weihai Campus. He mentioned that SDU is geographically close to DKU, so he hopes that the two universities could explore cooperation, on the basis of mutual understanding, especially in pharmacy and art. Chang stated that DKU is also a comprehensive university with a complete range of disciplines. DKU is looking forward to having deep cooperation with SDU in areas of mutual interest. He hopes that two universities will continue to strengthen understandings and carry out exchange projects. Staffs of the Department of International Affairs attended the meeting.
