Koetsu Yamazaki, Dean of College of Science and Engineering, at Kanazawa University, recently headed a delegation group visiting Shandong University. Vice President Lou Hongxiang met with the visitors and held a signing ceremony for the cooperation and communication agreements between the College of Science and Engineering at Kanazawa University and different schools of engineering at Shandong University.
During the meeting, Lou Hongxiang extended a warm welcome to the delegation. He introduced to the delegation the general profile, the characteristics and the current international programs of Shandong University. He expects to enhance and widen academic exchange and cooperation between the two universities on the basis of existing collaboration on engineering courses.
Koetsu Yamazaki introduced the general situation of Kanazawa University and the College of Science and Engineering. He also proposed further and deeper academic exchanges to involve both scholars and students in both universities, to reach a new stage in the future.
Then the two sides held a signing ceremony for the cooperation and communication agreements. Koetsu Yamazaki represented the College of Science and Engineering at Kanazawa University, and Lou Hongxiang represented the schools of engineering at Shandong University in signing the agreements.
After the ceremony, the two sides also held a symposium on launching a series of exchange programs such as short-term student exchange programs and teacher research cooperation programs.
Tong Guangwu, the Dean of International Office of Shandong University, hosted the signing ceremony and symposium. Representatives from Shandong University’s School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Environmental Science and Engineering, and School of Civil Engineering were in attendance for both.
