Dareway, a company affiliated with Shandong University (SDU), launched its smart software industrial park in Jinan, Shandong province on Nov 12.

Located in Zhangqiu district, the 12.47-hectare industrial park is a major project for both Jinan and Shandong.

The first phase of the industrial park, which encompasses 12 hectares, has been put into use. It integrates the functions of working, studying, leisure, living, and recreation. It is now a landmark in the province's software industry, offering a garden-like and smart working environment for high-end talents.

The industrial park is a pilot project in the construction of SDU's Longshan Campus, and SDU will continue to support Dareway by strengthening the integration of education and industry, as well as building an ecosystem of joint innovation, said Lu Yanhua, vice-president of SDU.

The launch ceremony also witnessed the establishment of an investment fund, which will focus on major projects where new growth drivers take the place of traditional ones

The fund will be mainly invested in upstream and downstream industries of Dareway, including blockchain, cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence, industrial internet, as well as medical and health services.
