Shandong University (Weihai) signed an agreement online with South Korea's Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education on Dec 3.
According to the agreement, both sides will carry out cooperation in education projects to strengthen exchanges.
As 2021 marks cultural exchange year between China and South Korea, the agreement will help expand cooperation in the field of education and cultivate international talent, as well as bring new vitality into China-South Korea cooperation, said Liu Jianya, vice-president of SDU.
SDU has formed a friendly cooperative relationship with over 40 South Korean universities, including Sungkyunkwan University and Hanyang University, as well as Incheon National University and Inha University, which are located in Incheon City. The universities cooperate via visits, studies, and international academic seminars.
Incheon is the third largest city in South Korea, and the Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education is in charge of about 950 schools and 360,000 students.
