The 13th Engineering Workshop, organized by Shandong University (SDU) and Kumamoto University from Japan, was held at Qianfoshan Campus on Dec 10.
The workshop took place both online and offline, attracting representatives and students from SDU's Department of International Affairs, the School of Mechanical Engineering, as well as Kumamoto University.
Han Shenghao, vice-president of SDU, said at the workshop that SDU will continue to cooperate with Kumamoto University in talent cultivation, academic exchanges, and science and research.
Professors and experts made academic presentations at the workshop. For instance, Yao Peng, deputy dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering, reported on "manufacture and application of precision structures and surfaces".
Attendees from Kumamoto University also made presentations at the workshop. For instance, Professor Yoshitaka Nakanishi and Professor Yasushi Koito made presentations on "practical applications in microfabrication technology" and "analysis and applications of heat pipe technology".
Wan Yi, deputy dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering, concluded the workshop with expectations to both universities to carry out deeper exchanges and cooperation in mechanical engineering.
