Shandong University held a high-level forum on the transformation of scientific and technological achievements at the Central Campus on Jan 11, which was an important part of the SDU Technology Innovation Conference.

The forum aims to discuss the importance of transforming university achievements into scientific and technological innovations, exchanging methods for transforming sci-tech achievements, and improving SDU's efficiency in transforming sci-tech achievements.

The SDU's Sci-tech Achievement Transformation Fund was launched at the forum, which is the first university sci-tech achievements transformation fund to be put into operation in China.

Twelve major sci-tech achievement transformation projects worth a total of 330 million yuan ($51.96 million) were signed at the forum, including six major platforms, three key achievement transformation projects, and three technology development projects.

These projects will boost the integration of science, technology, education, and industry to aid in industrial transformation and upgrading.

In addition, SDU released the latest six sci-tech achievements covering sectors like new-generation information technology, high-end equipment, new energy and new material, health and medicine.
