The Qilu Medicine Innovation Seminar was organized by Shandong University (SDU), SDU's Department of Science and Technology Management, SDU's Cheeloo College of Medicine, and Qilu Hospital of SDU (QLH) on Jan 12 in Jinan, Shandong province.
As part of SDU's Technology Innovation Conference, the seminar aims to become the top communication platform for innovation and development in the medical field by continually offering valuable suggestions and achievements.
An acute and critical diseases innovation alliance of the Yellow River basin was launched during the opening session of the seminar.
Members of the alliance will focus on acute and critical diseases and integrate big data, internet plus, and artificial intelligence to build a big data platform for acute and critical diseases in the Yellow River basin and provide support for large-scale and high-quality clinical research, said Chen Yuguo, director of QLH.
Fan Liming, president of SDU, said that the research of Qilu Medicine is vital to SDU's academic innovation system, which plays an important role in the construction of quality discipline, the construction of affiliated hospital, and the establishment of a highly qualified team of professors.
During the academic exchange session, academicians Fang Jiancheng and Yang Zhenglin from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and academicians Dong Erdan, Li Lanjuan, and Yu Jinming from the Chinese Academy of Engineering gave presentations on science and technology, interdisciplinary, talent cultivation, and their own professional experience.
