An event for Shandong University's scientific and technological achievements' "direct train" entering the Greater Bay Area was held simultaneously in Jinan, Shandong province and Shenzhen, Guangdong province on May 26.
Li Shucai, vice-president of SDU, said that the "direct train" is the university's exploration in the mechanism of the sci-tech achievements transformation, aiming to solve the difficulties and problems of sci-tech achievement transformation between higher-education institutions and enterprises, as well as serve as an important channel for SDU's Shenzhen Research Institute to realize the developmental transformation of the sci-tech and culture sectors.
During the roadshow session, Zhang Cunsheng, deputy dean of SDU's School of Material Science and Engineering, and Song Qinghua, deputy dean of SDU's School of Mechanical Engineering, introduced the current status of sci-tech research in their respective fields in detail.
Professor Wang Li of SDU's School of Mechanical, Electrical and Information Engineering, Professor Yu Xiaoqiang of the School of Crystal Materials, Professor Zhang Zhenbin of the School of Electrical Engineering, Professor Jiang Mingshun of the School of Control Science and Engineering, Professor Qi Qingsheng of the State Key Laboratory of Microbial Technology, and Professor Liu Yanjunfromthe School of Mechanical Engineering and the Institute of Marine Science and Technology took part in the roadshow at the event with their sci-tech achievements.
At the signing ceremony, China International Marine Container (Group), Shenzhen Enterprise Science and Technology Innovation Association, Hong Kong Small and Medium Enterprises Development Association, and Shenzhen Datalink Industry Promotion Association signed strategic cooperation agreements with SDU's Shenzhen Research Institute, in which all parties will conduct in-depth cooperation in aspects including scientific research, transformation of sci-tech achievements, talents cultivation, and academic exchanges, to build a collaborative platform of industry-university-research, jointly promote the integration of industry-education and science-education, and explore university-enterprise cooperation mode with the Greater Bay Area characteristics.
According to Lin Xiang, vice-president of the Shenzhen Association for Science and Technology, the event explored a new way to realize industrialization for sci-tech achievements by realizing the precise match-making between technological supply and industrial needs, boosting the deep integration of technology, capital, and talents, and smoothing out the transformation channel from technological innovation and product innovation, and finally to industrial upgrading.
