Shandong University (SDU) Press was selected as one of the top 100 most influential publishers in the2022 Chinese Books Overseas Collection Influence Report, which was jointly issued byChina Publishing & Media Journal, the School of International Journalism and Communication of Beijing Foreign Studies University, etc. SDU Press is among the 53 university presses on the list.

The annual report is based on the bibliographic data contained in overseas library systems that are collected by publishing institutions in the Chinese mainland.

The collected data are a recognized standard for the Chinese publishing industry to measure the global influence of Chinese books. It provides the industry with timely feedback on publications from the Chinese mainland in international markets.
