A delegation led by Korniakov Mikhail, president of Irkutsk National Technical University (INTU) in Russia, visited Shandong University (SDU) in China from May 6 to 8.

Li Shucai, president of SDU, welcomed the delegation while vice president Han Shenghao chaired the talks between the two sides. Bykov Stepan, vice president of INTU, also attended the meeting.

During the talks, the two schools reviewed their cooperation in the internationalization of talent cultivation and reached a consensus on various topics, including summer schools in related disciplines, student exchanges, faculty visits, and joint research projects.

Both sides expressed hope that they would further promote a comprehensive cooperative relationship based on existing collaborations, establish long-term mechanisms for teacher-student exchanges and scientific research cooperation, and expand the areas of communication. In particular, they plan to explore new opportunities for collaboration in disciplines such as green chemical engineering, artificial intelligence and big data, and composite materials.

In addition to the meetings, the delegation also visited the School of Civil Engineering at SDU and engaged in academic exchanges with scholars.
