The 18th Chinese Graduate Electronic Design Competition took place in Dongguan, Guangdong province from August 11 to 13.
Shandong University emerged as an outstanding team in this prestigious competition, securing the first prize in the business plan category, along with the Most Valuable Investment Award, the Best Presentation Award, and an Excellent Guidance Teacher Award.
In the technical competition category, Shandong University claimed five second prizes and three third prizes. Moreover, the team clinched a second-prize and two third-prizes in the enterprise proposition category, and was honored with the outstanding organization award.
The event, which commenced in March, featured two main categories – the technical competition and the business plan special competition. The technical competition focused on eight fields such as circuits, intelligent manufacturing, networking technology, and artificial intelligence. The event attracted participants from 333 universities nationwide, and received a total of 6,289 submissions, of which 520 made it to the finals.
Shandong University places a strong emphasis on nurturing innovation and research practice among its graduate students. The university integrates such competitions to stimulate research and creativity, and constantly refines its system for nurturing students through innovation and competition.
The Chinese Graduate Electronic Design Competition, co-initiated by the China Electronics Society, Tsinghua University, and Huawei in 1996, aims to foster innovative electronic design and creative practice among graduate students nationwide. The competition holds significant influence across universities and research institutions in China.
