On Sept 12, a student symposium themed "A Date with President — Growing Up after the Expedition" was held in Shandong University. Li Shucai, president of Shandong University attended the symposium.
In his address, Li commended the Cycling Association of Shandong University for their triumphant summer journey. He emphasized the team's thorough social research and their unwavering commitment to fortifying the university and revitalizing the nation, setting a benchmark for Shandong University.
Li expressed that SDU highly valued the expedition and extended robust backing to the team members. Moving forward, he urged all departments of the university to prioritize the growth of students and help them become well-rounded talents to shoulder the responsibilities of national rejuvenation.
Zhu Siyu, director of the cycling association, introduced the overall progress of the activities of the three summer expedition teams: the Yunnan-Tibet Line, the Northeast Line, and the Cycling around Shandong Line.
Zhu stated that the expedition members promoted a spirit of practicality, cultivated resilience during long-distance cycling, and gained skills through hands-on practice. The activities achieved the expected results, he said.
