Shandong University held a celebratory party to welcome the Spring Festival on Feb 2. Ren Youqun, Party secretary of Shandong University, delivered a speech and wished the attendees a happy Spring Festival.

Ren spoke highly of the achievements that Shandong University made last year and said that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 40th Teachers' Day. He also stated that in 2024, the university will continue to make efforts to promote the high-quality development of higher education and serve Chinese modernization.

Shandong University President Li Shucai introduced the achievements the university made in reform and development in 2023, including the independent training of talent, the construction of a high-level teacher team, and the creative development and transition culture.

Li stressed that in 2024, the university will continue to improve independent training of talent, support the self-reliance of high-level science and technology, and serve the construction of a modern civilization in China. A series of art performances by the Fine Arts School of Shandong University were staged during the party, creating a festive atmosphere.
