Shandong University has been making efforts to promote academic exchanges with universities in Serbia in recent years.

The Confucius Institute, which was established by Shandong University and the University of Belgrade on Dec 14, 2022, has played a crucial role in advancing Chinese language education and international Chinese studies.

In addition, Shandong University has organized MBA students to participate in short-term exchange programs in Serbia with the help of the University of Belgrade. The two sides have engaged in comprehensive cooperation in areas such as student training and joint scientific research.

The Academic Network for Sports of CCHEIC (China-CEEC Higher Education Institutions Consortium) was established in November 2023, with joint efforts from Shandong University and the University of Novi Sad, providing a platform in promoting the development of sports science between higher education institutions in China and Central and Eastern Europe countries.

In August 2022, the Shandong University Alumni Association of Serbia was founded in Belgrade, marking the first alumni association established by a Chinese university in Serbia.

Utilizing the platforms of the alumni association and Confucius Institute, the university is working to deepen friendship between China and Serbia, contributing to building a community with a shared future for mankind.
