Shandong University hosted its first ethnic cultural festival at its Xinglongshan campus on May 11.
The festival featured a cultural experience exhibition and a series of folk performances, aimed at promoting the rich culture of ethnic groups in China.
During the event, dances representing the Kazakh, Tibetan, and Uighur ethnic groups were performed, along with a Hanfu show, showcasing the richness and diversity of traditional ethnic cultures.
Students also tried various ethnic food, participated in quizzes on ethnic culture, learned about and tried on the exquisite accessories of different ethnic groups, and appreciated the unique charm of various ethnic scripts.
The festival showcased the university's strong commitment to fostering a sense of community among the Chinese nation through education, said Wang Junsong, the Deputy Party Secretary of Shandong University.
