The 2024 Chinese University Athletics Championships (Short Sprints and Jumps) were held in Huangshi, Hubei Province on May 25. Shandong University's track and field team won three gold, three silver, and two bronze medals in the high-level group competition.

Among the standout performances, Niu Jinshan, a student from the class of 2023, secured the gold medal in the men's 400-meter hurdles, while Wang Yinyu from the class of 2022 claimed victory in the women's 100-meter sprint. Additionally, Zhou Jing, a student from the class of 2021, showcased her talent by clinching gold in women's long jump.

The competition was hosted by the China Youth Sports Federation and attracted a total of 687 athletes from 80 universities nationwide, who competed in nine events including sprints, hurdles, high jump, long jump, and triple jump.
