Shandong University carried out a hiking campaign on Yishan Mountain, a 5A scenic spot in Linqu County, Weifang from May 25 to 26.

The entire hiking trip took seven hours, with over 130 participants hiking more than 10 kilometers to an altitude of nearly 700 meters.

The event aimed to strengthen students'physical and mental endurance and foster resilience and perseverance, said Li Shucai, president of Shandong University.

Liu Mingqi, a student from the School of Mathematics of Shandong University and president of the university's marathon enthusiast association, said that the event allowed students to strengthen their bodies, hone their willpower, and challenge themselves.
