Professor Huang Bingrong from Shandong University was honored at the award ceremony for the first Chen Jingrun Prize, which was held in Beijing on July 29 , for his work titled "Moments of L-Functions and Their Applications in the Rankin-Selberg Problem and Arithmetic Quantum Chaos".
The Chen Jingrun Prize was established by the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Education Foundation to honor the contributions of Chinese mathematician Chen Jingrun.
The prize aims to recognize outstanding achievements by young talents under 40 years old in the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan in the fields of number theory and algebra. The prize is awarded biennially, with a maximum of two achievements recognized each time.
Huang is a professor and doctoral supervisor of Shandong University. His research focuses on number theory, particularly in analytic number theory, automorphic forms, analytic theory of L-functions, and arithmetic quantum chaos. According to the award citation, Huang's work has a profound impact on analytic number theory and quantum chaos. In his speech, he expressed gratitude to the academic environment of mathematics at Shandong University and pledged to continue contributing to the development of mathematics in China.
