Shandong University and the Palace Museum signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Beijing on July 26.
According to the agreement, the two sides will strengthen cooperation in cultural history research, the archaeological excavation of cultural relics, and the integration of culture and technology. They will also promote interdisciplinary innovation, joint training of specialized talent, and the establishment of exchange platforms.
The Palace Museum, established in 1925, is a large comprehensive museum founded on the basis of the imperial palace of the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties and its collections. It boasts the largest and best-preserved ancient palace architectural complex in China, along with over 1.86 million cultural relics or sets of cultural relics.
