Ren Youqun, Party Secretary of Shandong University, met with a delegation led by Lam Khin Yong, Vice President of Nanyang Technological University and Honorary Professor of Shandong University, on Feb 15.

During the meeting, Ren said that Shandong University and Nanyang Technological University have achieved fruitful collaboration results over the past 20 years in areas like international Chinese education.

He also expressed hope that the two sides will use the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Singapore as an opportunity to strengthen collaborative platforms, such as the Jinan-NTU Green Technology Research Institute, making greater contributions to high-quality economic and social development of both countries.

Lam highlighted that Nanyang Technological University hopes to deepen and expand cooperation with Shandong University in fields such as medicine and biomedical sciences.

He also emphasized the importance of jointly cultivating high-level talent and establishing platforms for offshore artificial intelligence research and development, aiming to elevate the partnership between the two universities.
