Macau University of Science and Technology hosted a series of activities from March 27 to 28 in celebration of its 25th anniversary.
Shandong University President Li Shucai attended the President's Forum on March 27, where he dilivered a keynote speech focusing on the opportunities and challenges presented by the integrated development of education, technology, and talent.
Li noted that in its quest to cultivate top-tier innovative talent, Shandong University has made strong efforts to promote the integrated development of education, science, and talent, as well as to advance the adoption of AI in education, teaching, and scientific research.
He added that Shandong University will work together with universities worldwide to explore new models of talent cultivation in the era of artificial intelligence, while also promoting the integration of industry and education to strengthen talent development.
On March 28, Li attended the International Forum on Innovative Digital Entertainment and engaged in in-depth discussions with representatives of universities from around the world on topics such as innovative education and scientific research in the era of artificial intelligence.
Li stated that Shandong University actively supports China's digital cultural industry strategy. Leveraging its research resources, the university has developed a large-scale parallel rendering system, contributing to the digital film and animation industries.
He expressed his hope to further strengthen cooperation with Macau University of Science and Technology in establishing joint laboratories, sharing industry-university-research outcomes, and promoting dual-mentor talent cultivation.
The Macau University of Science and Technology was established in 2000 and has since developed into the largest comprehensive university in Macao. It ranked 464th in the QS World University Rankings 2025.
