Shandong University (SDU) achieved its best-ever results at the 7th National Higher Education Blending Learning Teaching Design Innovation Competition, held from Dec 6 to 7 at Wuhan University. The event featured 1,362 courses from 551 universities nationwide, involving a total of 5,110 participating teachers and team members.
SDU teams earned multiple top honors: The team led by Wu Hao from the School of Control Science and Engineering secured the prestigious Special Prize and the "Digital and Intelligent Education" Special Award.
Additionally, the team led by Zhang Bin (College of International Education) and the team led by Wang Haina (School of Pharmaceutical Sciences) both won First Prizes. The team led by Wu Jianqing (School of Qilu Transportation) received a Third Prize.
Reflecting its institutional commitment to educational excellence, the university also received the "Outstanding Organization Award" for the first time.
The next National Higher Education Blending Learning Teaching Design Innovation Competition will be hosted by SDU in 2026. SDU plans to fully learn from and draw on the successful experience of previous events and integrate the university's high-quality resources and strength. Working collaboratively with co-hosting institutions, SDU aims to build an even more open, inclusive, active, and innovative platform, fostering exchange, cooperation, and mutual growth for university faculty across China.
