Following a rigorous evaluation by experts from the UNESCO Regional Office for East Asia and the World Heritage Institute of Training and Research for the Asia and the Pacific Region (WHITRAP), the Center for Research and Experience of Traditional Chinese Culture at Shandong University (SDU) has been designated as a "World Heritage Youth Education Base". This honorary title recognizes the university's commitment to cultural preservation and pedagogical innovation.

The accreditation process involved a comprehensive evaluation. Experts reviewed operational reports, inspected its world-class facilities, and conducted seminars to evaluate core areas, including educational resource reserves, standardized management, and social impact. The panel found that SDU's academic reputation, funding mechanisms, and professional faculty met the high standards required for a global education base.

Leveraging its teaching infrastructure, the center has developed innovative ways to integrate intangible cultural heritage into youth education. By creating specialized curricula and practical activities, SDU has enhanced younger generations' awareness of heritage protection and promoted their practical participation in heritage protection. These achievements highlight the university's role in fulfilling its social responsibility through cultural leadership.

SDU plans to deepen resource synergy and capitalize on its interdisciplinary teaching advantages in the future. The institution will focus on faculty development and inter-agency collaboration to refine and promote replicable models of heritage education. This strategic initiative aims to elevate Chinese cultural heritage on the global stage, supporting international dialogue and mutual learning between civilizations.
