As the Year of the Horse begins, Shandong University (SDU) launches its "New Chapter" Spring Festival special coverage, marking the conclusion of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) and the start of the 15th (2026-2030). The series highlights the dedication and ambition of SDU members, emphasizing their commitment to national strategies and China's modernization.
During the winter break, hundreds of SDU students went on study tours across the UK, the US, Switzerland, Greece, Vietnam, Hungary, Russia, and other countries. They explored CERN's particle collider, studied at the University of Oxford, visited the Parthenon in Greece and engaged in the Confucius classes at Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and toured the Chinese enterprise GoerTek in Vietnam for practical insights into the Belt and Road Initiative.
These global experiences served as a practical "ideological and political course" that broadened their international outlook.
These initiatives embody SDU's role in building a strong educational nation and expanding opening-up. By integrating global exchanges into education, the university cultivates talent with global competence and patriotism, while strengthening people-to-people bonds.
In the future, SDU will expand its international cooperation, refine its global education network, and contribute to Chinese language education and cross-cultural dialogues.
