Shandong University (SDU) and South Korea's Inha University launched the China-South Korea Mutual Civilization Appreciation Research Center at a ceremony on March 31.
As the first international exchange platform of its kind, the center marks a significant milestone in SDU's efforts to push forward national strategies related to deepening cultural dialogue and civilizational exchange.
The new center will focus on comparative studies, cross-cultural communication, and the translation of classic texts. By establishing a multi-layered academic cooperation mechanism, both institutions aim to share elite resources and foster collaborative innovation, ultimately building a research hub with regional and global influence.
During the visit, leadership from both universities discussed their respective academic strengths and internationalization strategies. They pledged to use the center as a catalyst to expand student exchange programs, optimize mutual credit recognition mechanisms, and develop joint curricula.
By strengthening high-level communication and refining implementation paths, SDU and Inha University seek to ensure a sustainable and high-level academic partnership for years to come.
