High-Confidence Computing (HCC), an English-language journal sponsored by Shandong University (SDU), has been listed as one of the 2025 world first-class journals jointly compiled by the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China and its partner research institutions.
The list includes 6,132 science and technology journals from 55 countries and regions, published in 23 languages. A total of 353 journals from China were selected.
The evaluation employs nine indicators across four categories: academic organization, academic leadership, academic influence and social influence. It draws on multilingual citation data and AI-assisted analysis to evaluate journals across different countries and languages.
Launched in 2021, HCC publishes interdisciplinary research integrating secure computing, precise computing and intelligent computing. It is indexed in major databases including ESCI, Ei Compendex, Scopus, DOAJ and CSCD.
Its latest Journal Citation Reports impact factor ranks among the top 5 percent in its field. HCC also ranked in Quartile 1 in computational mathematics in the 2025 World Journal Clout Index Report and was added to the China Computer Federation's recommended international journal list in 2026.
SDU has expanded its support for academic journals in recent years, with more of its publications entering major international indexing databases and national journal development programs.
