Abstract:
Narrative Intelligence is defined as the ability to craft, tell, understand and respond appropriately to stories. The pursuit of Computational Narrative Intelligence requires multiple machine learning techniques that collaborate closely in order to construct sophisticated semantic understanding from the ground up. In this talk, I will present a categorization of semantic concepts into four levels, including media, events, event groups, and characters, review my research works from this perspective, and discuss the roadmap going forward.
