Bio:
Professor Paul Kerswill is a famous social linguist, an academician of the British Academy, the Professor of Department of Linguistics in the University of York, and the Doctor of Cambridge University. He has done academic exchanges in more than 20 countries. The main research direction is sociolinguistic language variation and change. For 30 years, he has been concerned about dialect contact and the formation of new dialects, especially the language changes of immigrants.
