Abstract:
In this talk, following a brief introduction about basics of VLSI optimization for digital signal processing (DSP) systems, the report will present a few classical designs about VLSI optimizations for Digital Communications. Then I will discuss some new methods regarding model compression for deep neural networks. Thereafter, the report will focus on efficient VLSI design for deep neural networks.
Bio:
Professor Wang Zhongfeng, associate dean of School of Electronic Science and Engineering of Nanjing University, received his bachelor degree and master degree from Department of Automation, Tsinghua University, and Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota, USA.
