Bio:
Professor Thomas Michael completed his Ph.D. from University of Chicago in 2001. He is currently the Vice Professor of School of Philosophy at Beijing Normal University (BNU). His main research interests include Chinese Philosophy, Daoism, and Shamanism. His major works include In the Shadows of the Dao: Laozi, the Sage, and the Daodejing, The Pristine Dao: Metaphysics in Early Daoist Discourse, etc.
