Mark J.Robertsis Professor of Economics at the Department of Economics at Penn State University. He now serves as Board Member of The Industrial Organization Society, Executive Committee for Conference on Research in Income and Wealth, Program Committee Chairman, International Industrial Organization Conference. He was Editor of International Journal of Industrial Organization, and was Member for Panel on Measuring Business Formation, Dynamics and Performance of National Research Council. Prof.Roberts has been researching in the area of applied microeconomics, industrial organization. His work mainly focuses on firms productivity and market dynamics. He has published many well-cited papers on top journals, such as American Economic Review, Econometrica,RAND Journal of Economics,The Economic Journal, The Review of Economics and Statistics,Quarterly Journal of Economics, Journal of Labor Economics, The Journal of Laws and Economics,Land Economics, Journal of International Economics, The Journal of Political Economy, International Journal of Industrial Organization, Journal of Econometrics,World Economy, Journal of Development Economics, Quarterly Review of Economics and Business and so on. He also has edited book volumes and monographs, including Producer Dynamics: New Evidence from Micro Data (University of Chicago Press), What Makes Exports Boom (The World Bank), Industrial Evolution in Developing Countries: Micro Patterns of Turnover, Productivity, and Market Structure (The World Bank).
