Abstract:

This talk will brief us on the origin and several important junctures of algebraic geometry. Finally, an "amazing" example, which uses finite field geometry to derive the existence of rational curves in complex K3 manifolds, will be mentioned to reflect the extensiveness and abstruseness of algebraic geometry.
