Abstract:
Spinal cord injury (SCI) is a severe traumatic disorder of the central nervous system with complex pathology and limited therapeutic options constraining neural functional recovery. Professor Feng’s group first proposed the ‘imbalanced microenvironment’ theory, systematically characterizing the spatiotemporal dynamics of the imbalanced inflammatory, nutritional and regenerative microenvironments throughout the course of injury and identifying key therapeutic targets. Based on distinct pathological features, they established stratified and precise intervention strategies. Guided by medical-engineering integration, they further developed a comprehensive clinical pathway encompassing diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation, providing a scalable and translational paradigm for SCI treatment.
