Shandong University held the "Youth Ignites the Dream of a Strong Country" 2023 art evening to welcome freshmen on Sept 21. Li Shucai, president of Shandong University, Lu Yanhua, the university's vice-president, and all freshmen of the 2023 class attended the event.

The evening kicked off with a dance performance titled "Rock with You" by the Shandong University Street Dance Association. The dance was energetic with a youthful and lively rhythm, instantly igniting enthusiasm from the audience.

The art show was divided into three parts, including dances, chorus, operas, and percussion performances, highlighting the university's history and culture.

The song Eight Masters Study History Together in SDU helps students reminisce about the glorious history of Shandong University, teaching them to cherish their homeland and to forge ahead with determination.

Han Jisheng, professor of the New Generation Semiconductor Material Integration Platform, shared stories of decades of scientific research dedicated to the nation. He encouraged the students of Shandong University to keep their mission in mind in this new era, persevere in their endeavors, and contribute their youthful energy to the rejuvenation of the nation.
