The 7th Conference on Industrial Economics and Economic Theory (IEET07) was held in Shandong University from June 27th to 28th ,2012. Zhang Yongbing, Vice President of Shandong University and Li Haijian, the associate editor and Editorial Director of the magazine 《China Industrial Economics》, addressed the opening ceremony.
The annual meeting was jointly sponsored by the Theory of Games and Economic Behavior Research Center of Shandong University, the Economic Research Institute of Shandong University, the editorial department of 《China Industrial Economics》, the School of Economics of Shandong University, the editorial department of the《Review of Industrial Economics》 and the editorial department of the《Journal of Shandong University (Philosophy and Social Sciences)》. The topics of the seminar included the industrial economy theory and policy, antitrust theory and demonstration, business strategy and strategic competition behavior and experimental economics theory and other related studies. More than 60 experts and scholars from University of California, York University , Colorado University , University of Illinois, the National University of Singapore , Seoul National University, Tsukuba University, City University of Hong Kong, Lingnan University of Hong Kong, Fudan University, Nankai University, Renmin University of China, Nanjin University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Taiwan Research Institute, Tianjin University of Finance and Economics, Shandong University, the periodical office of《China Industrial Economics》 and other institutions attended the annual meeting.
In the Keynote Speeches, the experts and scholars launched a lively discussion about the different themes of the annual conference. Prof. Youngsub Chun, from Seoul National University, Prof. Mamoru Kaneko, from Tsukuba University, Prof. Chen Yongmin, from Colorado University, Prof. Lu Jingfeng from the National University of Singapore, and other experts and scholars, presented their academic reports.
During the panel sessions that followed, the experts and scholars discussed the issues about industrial economy theory and policy, business strategy and antitrust theory in several different groups.
The Conference on Industrial Economics and Economic Theory has held seven sessions up until now and has already become an important meeting in the area of industrial economics with its high academic level and harmonious academic atmosphere.
