On March 11th, according to the cooperation and communication agreement between Karolinska Institute and Shandong University, Ding Lijie, who studied in the School of Public Health at Shandong University, arrived at Karolinska Institute to have a five months' exchange study during the first term of the 2011-2012 academic year.
Undergraduate students of Grade 2008 from the School of Public Health participated in the symposium, with Ding Lijie mainly introducing her study process at Karolinska Institute. During the period of overseas study, she completed entire courses, includingGlobal Health,Introduction to Public Health Epidemiology, andHealth System & Health Policy. She also shared her travel experience and introduced the cultural character, architecture appearance and local customs of some regions in Europe. Furthermore, Ding answered questions raised by students, which included questions regarding language communication, the admission for the overseas study program and many other related questions.
The entire symposium was completed in a warm atmosphere. During the symposium, the student who has returned from her overseas study shared her feelings and observations with other students attending.
