Since September 2008, under the guidance and support of Professor Gao Jianguo, postgraduates of our School have launched into a Loving Home Foster tutoring service in the Foster Care Base in Zhifang of Tangwang Town, Jinan Licheng District, which mainly aims at carrying out children in the foster families. There are some auxiliary services at the same time, such as explaining of the way to communicate with the children with disabilities, to cultivate their feelings, and carrying out pertinent group activities, etc. The caring tutor acts every Saturday of tutoring the children of the base whole day and there have been over 20 volunteers active participation, who are master and undergraduate students of different professions, different grades.

As there are students of primary and middle school, two volunteers or more took part in each time, answering questions of science and arts of students, especially the important points. What's more, we invited a number of exchange students from Ocean University of Qingdao giving coach and discussing how to relieve the pressure of examinations. We also talked a lot with the parents of the foster care families to learn about the conditions of their children's study and living.

A group of graduates and undergraduates, 10 totally, made a practice research about the Foster Care Base in Zhifang this summer holiday, with a caring tutoring lasting for half a month. Volunteers visited every student's family also, and expressed their respect to them. Every student got a lot from the group discussion.
