On September 20th, in the gymnasium at the central campus, the Shandong University Welcome Party for the 2012 freshmen was held. The Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of SDU Fang Hongjian presented at the party and extended his welcome to the new students on behalf of all the staff and students.  All the 2012 freshmen attended the welcoming party.

The welcoming party kicked off with the chorus of the SDU’s school anthem presented by all the freshmen. The dynamic dance Colorful Day performed by the students from the SDU troupe lighted up the audience. The modern clapper talk playing A Brighter Future of SDU gave the audience a fresh feeling from its traditional Chinese style.

However, among the party, a wonderful traditional Chinese instruments performance entitled Beat of Dream won several rounds of applause from the student audience. Overseas students showed the audience their spirits with their dance, So Cool.

The teachers sang a collection of wonderful songs accompanied by exceptional piano performances to express their welcome to the freshmen, much to the delight of the student audience. Afterwards, lots of singing and dancing performances kept the audience on their seats. Besides, the school associations, such as the Calligraphy and Painting association and street dance club, put on classic show of their talent and skills. Finally, the party successfully ended with the enthusiastic dancing The King of Birds, which was performed by the students of the Fine Arts School.
