Participants from the College of International Education (CIE), Shandong University (SDU) acquired good results at the 2021 Global Chinese Language Micro-lecture Showcase, according to the award list released on March 16.
The only grand prize was awarded to Song Yushuo, an SDU student pursuing a Master's degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (TCSOL). Liu Xiaojie, Yue Xinran, and Chang Shengjie, all from SDU, were granted third place honors, while Liang Shina was given a merit award.
In addition, CIE teachers Li Xiaojing and Fu Yao were awarded second and third place, respectively, in the young teacher group's competition.
Participants and the university both made great efforts preparing for the event, which included all-around professional guidance in teaching topics, lesson design, courseware creation, and micro-lecture recording.
The showcase, which was one of the most prominent national teaching competitions in TCSOL, drew over 1,000 participants, including TCSOL teachers and students from domestic institutions, overseas Confucius Institutes, TCSOL volunteers, and local teachers from various countries.
CIE's teachers and students have received numerous awards in TCSOL competitions in recent years, demonstrating the school's ability to generate teaching tools and cultivate TCSOL talents.
