In celebration of World Environment Day, the School of Environmental Science and Engineering at Shandong University (SDU) organized a series of activities on environmental protection to promote ecological civilization and foster students' sense of social responsibility, thereby contributing to the construction of a beautiful China.

On June 2, members of Little Blue Hat, a volunteer team that undertakes efforts in protecting rivers and seas, initiated an activity at the Shandong University Experimental School to educate primary and middle school students about environmental protection and the significance of garbage classification.

The team also held an environmental protection-themed art event at the Shilaoren beach in Laoshan district of Qingdao on June 4, during which participants were invited to collaborate on a 100-meter-long painting. Subsequently, Volunteers and citizens then proceeded to clean the beach and the surrounding areas together.

To better understand the green transformation of enterprises, the team visited the Qingdao branch of FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Co in Jimo district on June 5. Volunteers witnessed the unveiling of FAW-Volkswagen Qingdao branch's Zero Waste Factory and toured the FAW-Volkswagen workshop to gain a deeper understanding of the construction of Green Factory and Zero Waste Factory.

On World Environment Day, the School of Environmental Science and Engineering also organized activities such as Walking with Environmental Protection for Battery Life to raise awareness about the importance of environmental protection.
