On April 19th, a delegation led by Prof. Malcolm Horner, Vice Principal of University of Dundee, visited Shandong University. SDU Vice President Lou Hongxiang met with the guests.
Lou made a brief introduction about the general profile and the current situation of international exchange of Shandong University to the visitors. He also expressed his hope that the two sides can launch an all-round cooperation in staff and student exchanges and joint cultivation. He expressed his desire that both sides could serve the development of the regional economy and society.
Prof. Horner introduced the history, curriculum arrangement of his University as well as the great impact that certain disciplines and departments of his University has had on the world community. He also expressed the strong hope to launch cooperation with Shandong University in various disciplines, including civil engineering, international law, management and so forth.
Founded in 1881, University of Dundee is located in the heart of Dundee city, and consists of four colleges: the College of Art & Design, Architecture, Engineering and Physical Sciences, the College of Arts and Social Sciences, the College of Life Sciences, and the College of Medicine, Dentistry and Nursing. Each college contains a number of schools. The University is home to more than 17,000 students, around 12,000 of whom are undergraduates, and more than 3,000 staff.
