On April 11th, a delegation of 15 people from the University of Saint Joseph, Macau, led by its President Peter Stilwell, paid a visit to Shandong University. Prof. Fang Hongjian, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of Shandong University, had a discussion with the guests.

During the meeting, Fang introduced history and educational scope of SDU. Stilwell said that this was his first visit to a university in mainland of China since he took office as the President of University of Saint Joseph, and he hoped that there would be future activities between the two universities. They also exchanged opinions concerning the organization and operation of both universities’ alumni associations.

Director of Office for Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan Affairs of SDU, Zou Nan, participated in the activity and introduced related information.

During their visit, the delegation visited the Chinese Culture Experience Hall at SDU, and experienced the charm of traditional Chinese culture.
