Shandong University published the 2014 electric calendar “Shan Da in Oil Painting”, which is its first electric version after publishing in 2011.

In the last three years, the “Shan Da in Oil Painting” series has become a characteristic feature of Shandong University campus culture. The 13 paintings selected this year were created by the teacher of Shandong University Liu Min. He carried on the style of previous year’s paintings, using realistic depiction to display and highlight the images of the Shandong University campus. They show deep emotion and sincere appreciation towards Shandong University by the painter.

The new calendar captures the profound history and fast-changing development of Shandong University. In the calendar, the ancient teaching buildings in Qingdao, the newly completed central campus gate and square, the constructing Qingdao campus, are all presented vividly. The painter even made a special trip to Qingdao to complete the paintings from that distant campus. The cover shows a few students walking shoulder to shoulder in the “Little Forest” with smiles on their faces, which has the name “We Were Together” and shows their youth and vigor.
