23rd Annual Meeting for International Pediatric Endo-surgery Group (IPEG) was recently held in Edinburgh, UK. Li Aiwu, professor from the Department of Pediatric Surgery of Qilu Hospital of Shandong University, was elected member of the expert group of IPEG and delivered a special report titled“The Application of Laparoscopic Pyeloplasty in Infant Hydronphrosis”.

IPEG’s meeting is one of the most important international gatherings of pediatric endo-surgery. This year, about 1000 registered representatives attended the meeting.

Prof. Li’s report raised the delegates’ interest, attention, and discussion. Prof. Li said that lots of clinical examples and statistical results had proved the feasibility and security of undergoing laparoscopic surgery for infants. Experts present in the meeting agreed with his opinion.
