From July 28 to 29, the fourth China-ASEAN President Forum was held in the National University of Singapore. Over 90 representatives attended the congress, including 10 universities of China like Peking University, China Foreign Affairs University, Xiamen University, Shandong University, Sun Yat-sen University, leaders of 27 ASEAN universities, as well as officials of the Ministry of Education in Thailand and ASEAN University Network secretariat.

Yang Xiuping, Secretary General of China-ASEAN Center, and Choltis Dhirathiti, Deputy Executive Director of ASEAN University Network, attended the forum, as well as Wang Qilong, Executive Vice President of SDU.

China-ASEAN President Forum was started at 2002. The first three sessions were hold respectively in Bangkok, Thailand, Hanoi, Vietnam and Port Dickson, Malaysia. It was designed to provide an official communication platform for leaders of universities, further academic collaborations between China and ASEAN and offer suggestions to those congresses related to China and ASEAN.
