The latest update of ESI database reveals that SDU's Molecular Biology & Genetics and Agricultural Sciences become two new subjects which both have moved into the top 1% of ESI. Chemistry becomes the first subject of SDU which ranks the top 1‰ of ESI. There have been 15 subjects of SDU ranking the top 1% so far, the number of which ranks the 8th among Chinese universities.

According to the data, the papers quoted in Molecular Biology & Genetics of SDU account for 1028 pieces/10598 times and the average citation times is 10.31 times per paper. The papers quoted in Agricultural Science of SDU account for 166 pieces/1598 times and the average citation times is 9.63 times per paper.

The papers quoted in Chemistry subject of SDU account for 6429 pieces/63236 times and the average citation times is 9.84 times for one paper, among which the Top Papers account for 41 pieces/680 times. The citation times ranks No.106 among 1109 included organizations. Besides, other subjects of SDU rose substantially in the ranking, of which Mathematics, Materialogy and Clinical Medicine all rank the top 1.5‰.

The papers quoted in all subjects of SDU account for 31862 pieces/268987 times and the average citation times is 8.44 times for one paper, among which the Top Papers account for 266 pieces/2400 times. The amount of quoted papers ranks NO. 370 among 5002 calculated institutions and NO. 10 among all universities in China.

There are 15 subjects of SDU which have entered the top 1%, including Chemistry, Physics, Clinical Medicine, Materials Science, Biology & Biochemistry, Engineering, Pharmacology & Toxicology, Neuroscience & Behavior, Mathematics, Environment/ Ecology, Immunology, Plant & Animal Science, Social Sciences(General), Molecular Biology & Genetics, Agricultural Sciences.
