Ajay Singh, Deputy Dean of Harvard Medical School led a delegation on a visit to SDU on October 23. Chen Zijiang, Vice President of SDU met with the delegation.
During the meeting, Chen introduced the achievements made in the construction of “SDU-Harvard Medical Education Center”, and put forward some suggestions on the ways to broaden international medical education in the future.
Prof. Singh expressed his delight on witnessing significant progress that the medical higher education and top-level talent trainings have achieved from both sides and hoped to deepen cooperation on various fields including hospital management and clinical professional skills.
Wang Fengshan, Deputy Director of Shandong University Cheeloo College of Medicine hosted the meeting participated by members from Department of Scientific Research and International Affairs as well as Continuing Education Center.
During their visit, the delegation of Harvard Medical School introduced the CLIMB (China Leadership in Medicine Bridge with China) cooperation program to the experts and representatives from Cheeloo College of Medicine and related hospitals, and communicated with students intended to apply for the program.
Harvard Medical School has been dominated the top ranking in America over the past 85 years, earning worldwide fame with its quality of medical education and capacity of scientific research and medical care. This visit promoted the in-depth cooperation in international medical talent training, and also laid a solid foundation for promoting the internationalization of medical education for both sides.
